The Arizona Trucking Association is proud to announce the 1st Arizona State Super Tech Competition to be held in conjunction with the 2012 Truck Driving Championships to be held April 21, 2012 at Tempe Diablo Stadium.
What is the Arizona Trucking Association Truck Driving Competition?
The Arizona Trucking Association Truck Driving Championships (TDC) is an annual event that has been held for many years. It is the only event of its kind that showcases and recognizes the professional truck driver in the State of Arizona. Drivers from across the state come to the event to compete and to promote professionalism in the truck transportation industry. This is a first class event that instills pride and elevates the image and perception of Arizona’s professional drivers and truck transportation industry.
Professional drivers from carrier members of the Arizona Trucking Association throughout the state of Arizona come together and compete in a competition which includes a written examination, a pre-trip inspection test, and an on-course driving skills test. The AZ Truck Driving Championships (TDC) is a constructive safety program emphasizing skill, knowledge, professionalism and safe handling of motor vehicles. The TDC also tests the knowledge of carrier member drivers who have spent numerous hours studying and learning about their industry, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, first aid, emergency response and safe driving.
Additionally, the AZ TDC requires over 150 volunteers to stage this event in one day. We can use your help even if you do not have drivers to compete in the TDC!

2011 Arizona Truck Driving Championship winners return from Orlando!
Out of this year's 150 competitors in the State Truck Driving Championship (TDC), the eight winners listed below advanced to the national finals in Orlando, Florida. For weeks, they practiced diligently under the watchful eyes of Team Arizona Coach Rick Lane (Shamrock Foods). (See photo highlights below of an early Sunday morning practice.)
Team Arizona winners scored two awards in Orlando: Straight Truck Winner Sean Saxon (FedEx Ground) took second place and Twins Winner Ina Daly (Con-way Freight) scored 100% on the written test! Congratulations to Sean, Ina and all the ATA winners and thank you for representing Arizona with pride and distinction.
