Regulatory Actions
Although the State of Arizona is currently under a regulatory moratorium, the rulemaking for Title 17 - Over-dimensional Loads - is trudging slowly forward under an exemption from the moratorium. ATA's Specialized Carriers & Rigging Conference continues its review of the new Title 17 provisions of Title 17 to prepare its ATA's official comments. No date has been set for publication and acceptance of public comments on the regulations.
At the federal level, nine different rulemakings are underway at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
